Nearly twenty years of plans brought to life, from a mother-son duo to a full firm, in Saint-Hyacinthe.
A story of continuity.
From Sandra Rioux's drawing table to a full team, each step built the next.
The foundations
With over 25 years of experience in architectural design, Sandra Rioux founds Dessin SR in Saint-Hyacinthe. Her mission: to design custom residential plans that meet each client's needs, budget and lifestyle, from bungalows to chalets, up to high-end multi-unit buildings.

The next generation
Vincent Fontaine, her son, joins the firm as a partner. Self-taught and passionate about 3D design, he brings fresh energy: output goes from two to about ten plans a month, the team grows and the firm enters full expansion.
L'Établi is born
Sandra hands the reins to Vincent, who reshapes the firm in his image while preserving the expertise and rigour that built its reputation. Dessin SR becomes L'Établi Architecture: a young, innovative vision driven by one conviction, new build or renovation, nothing is too big or too small.
In a single year, some fifteen architectural technicians and newly graduated technologists join the team, which moves into new premises in downtown Saint-Hyacinthe.

Large-scale projects
L'Établi leads large-scale projects across the Montérégie and the Saint-Hyacinthe area: real-estate developments of several hundred units in Léry, Varennes and Sorel, high-end custom homes, and projects delivered in consortium with architects.
Every mandate is a chance to be creative, to find innovative solutions and to guide the client from the first pencil stroke through to completion.
